This midrange safari is tailored for those eager to spot Africa’s iconic Big Five — lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, and the elusive black rhino — while also enjoying comfortable lodges and tented camps. From the baobab-filled plains of Tarangire, the predator-rich savannas of Serengeti, to the wildlife-dense Ngorongoro Crater, this is a well-balanced, action-packed adventure.
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, where your Simba Soul Destinations representative will warmly welcome you. You’ll be transferred to your midrange hotel in Arusha to unwind, receive a pre-safari briefing, and enjoy dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its vast elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a full-day game drive, searching for elephants, buffalo, lions, and more. Later, transfer to a charming midrange lodge or tented camp just outside the park.
Head toward the legendary Serengeti, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands. Game drive en route into Serengeti’s vast plains, where wildlife is abundant. Arrive at your midrange tented camp in time for sunset, followed by dinner under the stars.
Explore the central Serengeti in search of the Big Cats — lions, cheetahs, leopards — and possibly the Great Migration (depending on the season). Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch, and return to camp for a warm dinner and overnight.
Begin the day with a sunrise game drive, then journey toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you may visit a Maasai village or the historic Olduvai Gorge. Arrive at your midrange lodge near the crater rim for dinner and overnight.
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, often called "Africa’s Eden." This is the best place in Tanzania to see the endangered black rhino alongside lions, elephants, hippos, and flamingos. After a picnic lunch inside the crater, drive back to Arusha, where your safari concludes with a drop-off at your hotel or airport.
