A Leisurely Adventure Through Tanzania’s Iconic Wildlife Parks
The 7-Day Classic Tanzania Explorer is for travelers who want to slow down, soak in the wilderness, and experience the rich variety of Tanzania’s northern safari circuit without rushing. With extra time in each destination, you’ll enjoy more game drives, deeper exploration, and more chances for up-close wildlife encounters — all while staying in comfortable midrange lodges and tented camps.
Expect diverse landscapes, rare wildlife sightings, cultural moments, and warm Tanzanian hospitality every step of the way.
Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you’ll be met by a representative from Simba Soul Destinations and transferred to your midrange hotel in Arusha. Settle in, relax, and prepare for your adventure. Overnight stay with dinner included.
After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy a full-day game drive in this scenic, less crowded park. After a picnic lunch and afternoon safari, head to your midrange lodge or tented camp just outside the park for dinner and overnight.
Spend a second day exploring deeper into Tarangire’s river valleys and dry plains. Look out for lions, leopards, ostriches, and migratory birds. The relaxed pace allows for a morning and afternoon game drive or an optional walking safari. Return to your lodge for dinner and a peaceful night.
After breakfast, journey through the Great Rift Valley and the Ngorongoro highlands to reach the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Arrive by early afternoon and dive into a thrilling game drive across the central Serengeti plains. Overnight at a comfortable midrange tented camp, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.
A full day to explore the endless plains of the Serengeti. Depending on the time of year, you might witness part of the Great Migration or encounter resident wildlife including big cats, elephants, and antelope. Enjoy a bush picnic lunch and return to camp for dinner under the stars.
Start the morning with one last Serengeti game drive, then head toward Ngorongoro with scenic stops along the way. Visit Olduvai Gorge or a Maasai village if desired. Arrive at your midrange lodge near the crater rim for a sunset view, hot meal, and cozy overnight stay.
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for your final safari drive — a magical ecosystem filled with wildlife including black rhinos, hippos, lions, hyenas, and flamingos. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, ascend and drive back to Arusha, where your safari ends with a transfer to your hotel or airport.

On our midrange safaris, you can expect to see elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, hippos, cheetahs, leopards, and more. The Ngorongoro Crater also offers a chance to spot the rare black rhino.
